The week's action on the FCPO 30 min chart.

There is no certainty in trading. This is the Dec14/feb15 fcpo spread. One of the locals last month commented "Just average the long spread position, no such thing as cut loss one la straddle trading"

Well, anything can happen in trading.  When the spread went to 120 most were scrambling to cut their losses,  hence the signal for the price to rebound...

Oh and after the carnage, a veteran trader remarked "In my 25 years of trading fcpo, I have never seen such a market, especially the straddle". It's 'spread' not 'straddle' by the way...

One needs to discover whether the helter skelter way to trade like playing a video game is the way to go. Not for me... If one considers yesterday a strong trend day, closing at the highs, the best course of action is to buy into support... there are plenty of those caught short to cover.
