Some interesting facts on locals trading volume for fcpo, notice the 42% increase month on month. And our exchange thinks this is the 'best' cpo contract, further improvement is of course ideal. Exchange needs to lobby SC to relax the requirements for local participants.

20090519 1638. Coming up to the closing matching for the stocks on Bursamalaysia, we did not get the entry on the retrace, but the market did prove the path of least resistance was upside.

Phillip Futures Sdn Bhd Internet trading of FKLI/FCPO futures
From the grapevine, heard that Phillip Futures Malaysia will launch their online trading via DMA of the FKLI/FCPO futures next Monday 18 May 2009. Should be via their POEMS or POEMS Pro platform, where overseas futures orders can be routed too. No webpage, apart from their website:www.poems.com.my.
Seems they have information somewhere on this site. When I mention to traders of this type of DMA trading, the first response is: "What is the commission rate?"

20090511 0929. When the lemmings start to follow the Pied Piper, they take the inexorable path into the river. That said, the other day I heard a good quote from a 30 year stock market veteran: "When the retail investors start piling into the stockmarket, the rally is 75% complete".

The 10 year cycle
FKLI futures daily chart, the indicators turn up again....
How does one make big money in stocks? Looking back at our post in October 2009, with hindsight, one can be holding on to stocks and riding high. But many people like to trade when the stock market is 'hot', as in the current state of the market. I was told by my friend that the 'lemmings are jumping in', with many people who don't touch or look at stocks are now clamouring and opening account to be 'stock trader'. Then they get the excitement to trade the hot stocks, until....

20090502 Daily, weekly and monthly FKLI futures chart. Monthly stochastics has crossed up, a warning that the macd MIGHT turn and cross up. Weekly FKLI is bullish. Daily stoch crosses down and macd about to cross down (or has done). Longer term path of least resistance is UP.(weekly and monthly), so dialy sell signals provide opportunity for position traders to take longer term positions long. Dunno if this analysis is correct, but time will tell.... For me, I am a scalper and intraday trader, so maybe it doesn't matter much in terms of FKLI futures, but hey if I were to hold any stock positions they should be longs for longer term players.
