FKLI Futures Trading - Bursamalaysia
This will chronicle trading in the FKLI & FCPO futures. If you don't like what you see/read in this blog, just surf away. These opinions are our personal opinions and just a record of our thoughts..."In evolution, it’s not the biggest, the fiercest nor the smartest that survive, it’s the one that changes the fastest.” I.e. the key word is to adapt the trading style to the markets, until it stops working

20090421 Many people wrote off the stock markets as an avenue to make money early in 2009. Well, Genting Bhd provided an outperformance (for a blue chip stock) vs the index. We did identify it as a buy earlier on.

20090420 2323. At this moment in time, the Down Jones is down 3%..... usually the 7th week of any rise (or fall) is the time when caution prevails.

20090419 KLCI cash daily chart.... Not much of divergence on RSI 14 is what I see. Axiata rights cease trading on Tuesday. Will it be like Maybank last week? Unlike Maybank it has not been pummeled down by the bankrupt investment banks and institutions, wh(mostly from the USA, eg Merrill, Citigroup) o were 'forced to sell everything' because they no longer had any capital left.

Well, it as the easier trade to put on, that is to buy Malayan Banking Bhd's mother share one or two days before the rights entitlement stopped trading. And on a particular day the price sold off to 3.92 to provide a better entry. High of 4.40s was reached after a few days. Touche...
1741 FCPO traded 10241 contracts in Jly 09 contract. I look at the price action and market depth and think to myself, "this is truly a unique market". They can churn the volume so fast without any depth in bid ask queue, trade size intraday, surely will get caught. Seems they use some magic, Jun July spread to move the outright market... I was told.
1727 FCPO reaches 2341.
20090417 1703. Yes and no, can go a few points only..... CPO bull seems intact.
20090417 1625. Friday afternoon, seems that "nobody home", I think most have packed up trading for the weekend.... Anyway will post a chart of the FKLI futures later.
