20080829 Whoa, the cash index rrose in a big way today, on Budget 2009 announcement day. I was away from the trading terminal, and missed the big move!.i\It seems whenever I am away, the market has its big move. I guess that is the way the cookie crumbles. Looking forward, the FKLI futures has risen from the low of 1047 to current levels. If we look at the last retracement upwards, the futures went from 1085 to 1052 or so, about 60 points or there abouts. So 60 points fromt the low of 1047 means 1107 is the realistic target....

The constriction of the bands was the precursor to the move down in the FKLI futures this morning.

20080814 1556. Break of the triangle pattern brings FKLI futures ot a low of 1105. The sharp reversal indicates the breakout does not have legs, so no point hanging on.

Some interesting figures on the FKLI demographics. The market is dying with foreign institution participation shrinking, meaning that foreigners have pulled out of Malaysia stocks, due to political uncertainty. Basically hedgers are the ones who provide the $, otherwise it is just a zero sum game amongst the thin pool of players in this market.

20080808 1715. Updated FKLI futures chart, price could get to around 1108 before reversing, just as well, as last night, the US stock markets welcomed the Olympic Games with a bang!

20080805 1610. Well, it is mid afternoon now, and we have had the 'big move' in the FKLI futures. Whenever there is congestion for a long time as we saw on Monday afternoon, the 'big one' is sure to be on the horizon. Note the 'gap' in the chart is where the data feed cut out in the early morning trade.
