20070131 0515 pm. The expected downward trend did not materialise, essentially a sideways day.

20070131 1107 am. FKLI first 15 min candle provide clue to the general direction for the day.

20070131 It was mid August 2006, you identified Magnum corp as a potential 'buy', a cash generating gaming company (good news) with corporate governance issues (bad news). No analyst recommend buy on this company with 5 consecutive quarters of disappointing earnings. So you decide to enter on technical berakout, anywhere between Rm2.05 to 2.10. The price two days ago hit RM3.06, so you are now sitting to near 50% return. What do you do?
A Sell everything and lock in your profits
B Sell 1/2 the positin and let the remainder ride to stop at breakeven.
C Size up, Add On and double the position
D Do nothing, hang on for another 15% gain to eke out.
E Sit and wait.

20070130 0515 pm. FKLI ends up down, a Trend day down today.

20070130 1102 am. The first 15 min candle showed indecision, so it was best to wait for clear break in direction off this candle.

20070130 0856 am. Since the break of the upper trend channel line resistance, KLCI has made nice rebound. FKLI follows suit, with a 20 pt move off last week's lows.

Friday, January 26, 2007

20070127 5:15 pm. At the end of the day, the first 15 min candle showed the way, leaving the close to be higher than the open.

20070126 1526. FKLI 15 min rebounds. Sometimes, the first 15 min candle of the day points to the 'conviction' to the day's move.

20070126 1456. KLCI comes up to test the downtrendline.

20070126 10:46 am. At 10:33 the cash looks on the way to meet the objective of the H&S neckline break at 1164.

Thursday, January 25, 2007

20070125 0333 pm. With the break of the neckline of the H&S pattern on the KLCI, we would expect the cash KLCI to retest 1164.

Breathtaking performance by a selection of Bursamalaysia stocks, that silences critics of Bursa stock market

20070125 10:33 am. KLCI opened up up again for the 10th consecutive day, which sets up a high probability short trade.

Wednesday, January 24, 2007

20070124 So, the plan was to take some shorts for today. Depending on where the entry was, there was a 26 tick drop from the peak of 1183 to 1170 in the afternoon.

Tuesday, January 23, 2007

20070123 515pm. Classic 'Trend Day' in FKLI, opens at low and closes near high. A reflection of the strength in the market, shrugging off the 88 point overnight Dow fall.

20070123 The laggard stock pick AIGB finally starts to move, hopefully can break through the trendline resistance before the market gets overextended and corrects.

Friday, January 19, 2007

20070119 A nice move down, subsequent to Jan FKLI breaking the daily pivot 1141.

20070117 1025 am. This is the Bursamalaysia Derivatives page that displays the quotes for the varius contracts that trade on BMD. An excellent starting point for those who want to explore trading in futures. Whoever at BMD, that had the initiative to implement this web page should be commended. Note that the prices will be almost 'real time', although the page will have to be reloaded continuously.
