This article by Clive Kessler, reproduced in the Nikkei Asian Review, highlights a few poignant points:

1 The nold government of UMNO will likely wait in comeback, and probably join forces with PAS to creat an Islamist Malaysia, which is no good for democracy and the multi racial people and harmony in the country.
2 As such, Pakatan Harapan need to tread boldly and fulfill their blueprint, as outlined in their manifesto, as closely to the letter and wording as possible. This is not to give a signal of weakness in the political alliance of 5 disparate and diverse political parties, each with its own idealogies.

We should strive for a better Malaysia, a moderate Islamic country, free democracy and free press.
