Perspective

20080919 Looking at the 5 min HSI futures chart, we see a move of blibicala proportions. The shorts who pummeled the market yesterday morning, would be po kai today if they did not close out the positions earlier in the run up. The HSI futures trade at HKD50 per point, you can do the calculations on potential disasters.

They should thank/blame Bernanke, Paulson, Trichet & Company for the rescue efforts.

In trading, one has no one to blame but oneself. I remember one trader I knew who blamed his losses on Alan Greenspan's irrational exuberance statement in 1997....

wonder which charting tool you are using to trade fkli, and interestingly allows you to trade on HSI too?
I'm currently on Winchart, but looking for alternative now..

You cannotg trade both from same trading platform. The HSI futues is available from www.interactivebrokers.com.

As for our FKLI and FCPO, direct access trading is available if you are Local Participant of Bursa. Then you can use the PAM to key in orders yourself, renting a space from the broker.

However I have heard Amfutures will launch their DMA platform next week, for Local and also retail, but you will have to be have to be at the broker's office. And 3 to 4 weeks after that, they will release an internet based version. Dunno if this will all play out without any hitches, but if it does, FKLI/FCPO volume will double.
